Lenasia, the home and birth place of iCubed Technologies, is under siege by criminal forces that are violent, relentless, vicious and show no mercy.

These evil forces have taken over the streets and imprisoned us in our very own homes and businesses, leaving no one safe in our beloved town. The police and security forces are stretched thin, while these despicable criminals break into homes and businesses, hijack vehicles, terrorize the community and commit acts of murder or worse. We all live in constant fear of our lives and that of our loved ones, friends and colleagues.

Ask Nanima? and iCubed sat down and decided it was about time we did something concrete to assist in protecting the community as a whole.

Thus, Lenasia Crime Alert was born, from the partnership between a popular local blogger and a local technology company, as
a technology-driven, community-based initiative to fight crime, take back our streets, increase security and bring back peace and dignity.

We've come to understand and realize the potential for technology to become a key tool in the fight against crime, and intend to exploit this going forward, in useful and practical ways.

The Lenasia Crime Alert initiative consists of a number of phases, the first of which was launched on the 19th of August, which includes a Facebook Page, Twitter profile and an initial basic website, where members of the public can report crimes, post and receive warnings and alerts, upload pictures and videos, and receive support from the community. These facilities allow security forces to request information and provide detailed reports as to what has occurred and how.

Going forward, Lenasia Crime Alert aims to implement a range of additional tools and services that we hope will be instrumental in fighting crime and increasing security in Lenasia.
