Tomorrow, 17 November 2010, sees the Muslim celebration of Eid-ul-Adha in Johannesburg and the rest South Africa.

Known as the Festival of Sacrifice or Greater Eid, Eid-ul-Adha is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims around the world to commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (peace by unto him) to sacrifice his son, Prophet Isma’eel (peace be unto him) as an act of obedience to God, before God intervened to provide him with a ram to sacrifice instead.
